There are many options and varieties of dishes  to give to dogs, from simple to more elaborate recipes; everything to make the animal’s nutrition more balanced and healthy.

There are many advantages to sharing culinary flavors with dogs; especially in terms of  quality of life.  It is always recommended to consult a veterinarian about the foods that each animal can eat; as some pets have more delicate stomachs. Next, we’ll look at the best salad recipes for dogs.

Pasta and seafood salad

Ingredients:

  • Noodle;
  • Frozen fish;
  • Crab sticks;
  • Spinach;
  • Carrots;
  • Apple.

Elaboration:

  1. Cook the pasta, carrots and spinach. Let it cook well.
  2. Once the previous mixture is cooked; add the chosen fish to this dish.
  3. Mix everything, drain well and let cool at room temperature.
  4. Once at the right temperature; add the crab sticks and diced apple.
  5. Mix well until ingredients are integrated.
  6. Finally, if you wish,  you can add a touch of carrots  to your salad.
  7. A fresh and delicious salad is ready for your dog to enjoy.

Rice salad with a variety of vegetables

Ingredients:

  • Your favorite protein: chicken, beef, tuna  (500 grams);
  • 2 cups of brown rice;
  • 1 cup of broccoli;
  • 2 carrots;
  • 1 cup of spinach;
  • 5 cups of water or broth without condiments;
  • 3 potatoes.

Elaboration:

  1. Wash all vegetables : broccoli, carrots, spinach and potatoes.
  2. Peel the carrots and potatoes.
  3. Clean the spinach.
  4. Then  chop the broccoli, carrots and diced potatoes. Do the same with proteins; be it beef, chicken or tuna.
  5. Then  add all the vegetables to a pan. Also incorporate the proteins, rice and broth.
  6. Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, let the preparation rest.
  8. Mix again and serve at room temperature.

Sardine and braised vegetables salad

Ingredients :

  • 5 potatoes;
  • 2 carrots;
  • 3 clean sardines (without thorns and without skin);
  • 2 celery sprigs;
  • 1 cup of brown rice;
  • 6 cups of water.

Elaboration:

  1. Clean the sardines very well  so that there are no thorns or skin.
  2. Chop the two celery sprigs.
  3. Cut the rest of the vegetables into small cubes.
  4. Place in a pot with water, over medium heat.
  5. Add all ingredients and cook for 45 minutes.
  6. Once finished, let it sit and then serve.

Fruit salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of papaya;
  • Two cups of watermelon;
  • 4 bananas;
  • 1 apple;
  • A melon;
  • 1 liter of watermelon juice (optional).

Elaboration:

  1. Clean  fruits  by removing all seeds.
  2. Once clean,  cut all the fruit into cubes.
  3. If desired, you can  add a liter of watermelon juice;  to make this salad even more delicious.
  4. It’s ready to serve.

Dog salads: fish and asparagus

Ingredients:

  • Green or white asparagus  (to taste);
  • Clean fish (without spines);
  • Eggs  (to taste);
  • Carrot;
  • Zucchini;
  • Mushrooms.

Elaboration:

  1. First, check that the fish has no spines. If so, remove them.
  2. Then  cook the fish and drain.
  3. Saute zucchini, mushrooms and fish in oil.
  4. Then beat the eggs and make a scrambled egg with all the cooked ingredients.
  5. Finally,  add the asparagus and carrot zest  to the hot mixture.
  6. Allow to rest and cool before serving.

Dog salads: tuna with vegetables

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice of skinless tuna or 1 can of tuna;
  • 2 celery sprigs;
  • Two carrots;
  • 2 potatoes;
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil.

Elaboration:

  1. If you prefer sliced ​​tuna; make sure it has no skin before cooking it. Anyway, a can of tuna goes perfectly.
  2. Cut the celery, carrots and potatoes into cubes.
  3. Cook the vegetables and let them cool. The concept of ‘ al dente ‘ is not for our pets; so the best thing is for the vegetables to be tender and well cooked.
  4. After everything is cold,  mix the vegetables with the tuna  and add a teaspoon of oil.
  5. Let it sit and serve another interesting dish of salads for dogs.
