Learn more about a cat reality show

Who ever wondered how our pets behave when we’re not home? Although there is an animated film that tells us more or less about the adventures of animals when they are alone, we are always curious to know  what our dog or cat does during our absence. In a reality show about cats, shot in Iceland, we now have the chance to see it with our own eyes.

The  Big Brother  Feline: A Cats Reality Show That Causes Alloy

Called “Keeping Up With the Kattarshians” (which translates to “keeping up to date with what’s happening with the Gatarshians”), this Iceland reality show is a hit. The name Kattarshians is a combination of Kardashians (the famous sisters) and kattar (which in Icelandic means cat).

In this Big Brother of pets, there are five cats. They live in an animal shelter and are the protagonists of several adventures. The idea for this reality show arose based on what is done in the United States by the Kardashian and Jenner families (where Kim and Khloe Kardashian appear; Kendall and Kylie Kenner, Kanye West, among others).

The format of the show is similar, but not the protagonists. The Icelandic project was carried out in collaboration with the local Cat Protection Society. The objective was to raise awareness about the adoption of pets.

It all started with the story of an abandoned cat named Kattholt. She was rescued on the streets of Reykjavik. When they took her to a shelter for stray cats, they realized she was pregnant. In total, she had five kittens. But the amazing thing was that everyone was adopted (including the mother) by the same family. When the puppies were big enough, the mother “encouraged” them to leave.

The association gathered the puppies to see their evolution. So they created this reality show, hoping that someone would want to take them home. The names of these gems are Por, Bubbi, Vigdís, Katla and Hekla. We can see their lives live while having fun in their gigantic dollhouse.

Without a doubt, Keeping Up With The Kattarshians has  revolutionized social media not only in Iceland, but also around the world. You just need to look up the “Live” videos to see what mess they got into this time.
